Mark The Paper

Scorekeeper Practice

Pick a match. Mark the paper.

Each match plays out as a sequence of narrated events. You mark a replica scoresheet alongside, then we diff your marks against the ground truth and show you what you missed.

Easy8-Ball~4 min
First Sheet — Open Table, Clean Win
One rack, clean break, a couple of misses, and a home win. The gentlest possible introduction to marking the paper.
Medium8-Ball~7 min
Two Racks, One Read — Spotting the Safety
Marcus breaks rack one and Tracy answers with patience. Two racks, one safety that looks like a miss, a coach-called timeout, and a scratch that flips ball-in-hand. Track the marks carefully.
Hard8-Ball~14 min
Four Racks, Two Safeties Deep — A Long Sheet
J.D. and Brianne trade racks across a long, careful match. Multiple safeties, a ball-in-hand scratch, and a coach-called run-out. Watch the cue ball; the narration won't always tell you it's a defensive.
Medium9-Ball~6 min
The 9 Pays Two — A Short Set
Two racks of 9-ball. Lowest first, the 9 pays double, and Maria runs both racks. Watch for a quiet safety and a kick that hits the wrong ball.
Hard9-Ball~15 min
Push and Counter — A Long Set
Reggie and Vera grind through four racks of 9-ball. A push-out, a jump-foul scratch, two coach-called timeouts, and four safeties. The narration won't tell you what's a D — read the cue.
